Prog The Forest

Hello,

I hope you are as well as possible given the odd and difficult times in which we currently live.

We are co-hosting Prog The Forest at the Fiddler's Elbow in Camden, London (UK) on Sunday 5 December 2021. It is a one day charity fundraising progressive rock festival in aid of The World Land Trust, a charity that buys threatened rainforest and other vulnerable habitats to be preserved in trust, working with local people to ensure a long term future for these vital parts of the ecosystem on which we…

Back To Live...

After a difficult year and a half, we are looking forward to returning to playing live again.  Our first gig back was at the excellent Prog For Peart brain cancer fundraising festival in Oxfordshire.

Of course, any gig plans are subject to any COVID-related regulations that may or may not be in place at the time, but at the time of writing, these are our current bookings -

Sun 19 Sep 2021 -  A Sunday In September, Balham - https://fb.me/e/1f1jUnqZ1. We'll be playing alongside Tom Slatter, IT,  Abel Ganz…

Sorry for the tour that didn't happen...

Looking back on the previous blog post, I see I was optimistically looking forward to our 'Nostalgia For Infinity' tour. Obviously, viral events then overtook the plans - apologies for the inconvenience.

It's not a pleasant time for most of us at the moment. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this horrible pandemic, and those working so hard to protect others and keep vital services going. We look forward to being back out gigging as soon as safely possible. Meanwhile we are continuing work…

Nanobotoma

Nanobotoma

We’ve just about finished a new song ‘Nanobotoma’ for our 5th Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate (HOGIA)’s 5th album (promotional snippet above).

The story behind the song is something like this…

The protagonist has a slowly progressive but incurable leukaemia. They are a scientist working on medical self-replicating nanobots, tiny machines that are designed to identify and destroy cancer cells. Unfortunately, as they built to self-replicate, there is an inherent Darwinian selective pressure on…

Music For All Ages gig in Hampstead Sunday 14 July 2018

We previously had our launch party for 'When The Kill Code Fails' at the Heath Street Baptist Church, very close to Hampstead tube station.  We have been thinking for a while about how we could put on a concert that felt welcoming to supporters of all ages, including both children and older people. When we were invite back to perform by The Heath Street church, we thought we try out an early afternoon 'music for all ages' event. We welcome accompanied children as well as accompanied or unaccompanied… Read more
